About Gabrielle

I’m an illustrator and modern calligrapher creating ranges of greeting cards, stationery, art and commissioned pieces by hand following traditional techniques. I use old dip pens, inks, watercolours, crayons and pencil to create each piece. I finish some art pieces with gold/silver metallic paints and pure gold leaf.

I’m inspired by our natural world and the romantic designs of decorative arts. I was very fortunate to have been taught by Quentin Blake who encouraged my flowing style.

I frame the art in vintage, antique and contemporary frames. I leave the dings and dents plus old tape, original glass, backing boards, clips and hooks to retain the history of each piece. If anything needs replacing, I use our local art shop/framers. Artwork is mounted on an acid-free board and pieces which have a deckled edge are mounted on matching paper with British-made Conservation ATG tape.



The carbon-neutral card printers are based in Kent in a solar-powered warehouse. The paper is from an FSC-certified supplier. I use Italian and British-made art papers for original art pieces.


I launched my business in September 2023 after my Mum passed away during lockdown. She was a great supporter of my work and would have loved to see all these designs.

My work is about celebrating love, friendship, special occasions and gentle thoughts.
